Appointly (“we”, “our”, “the service”) provides AI-powered appointment-setting and messaging tools for service-based businesses. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Account data— your email and name from your authentication provider (Clerk).
- Workspace data— business information you provide (name, timezone, booking URL).
- Conversation data— messages exchanged through connected messaging channels (Instagram), customer profile information, qualification answers.
- Operational data— logs of system events (no message content) for reliability and debugging.
How we use it
- To provide the service: routing customer messages, qualifying leads, scheduling.
- To send authenticated requests to Meta's Instagram API on your behalf.
- For internal observability: error tracking, performance monitoring.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the third-party services we use to run the platform: Convex (database), Clerk (authentication), Meta (messaging delivery), Sentry (error tracking), BetterStack (logs). Each acts as a processor under their own privacy terms.
Data retention
Conversation data is retained for as long as your workspace is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us using the email associated with your account.

This is an early-stage MVP privacy policy. A more comprehensive version will be published as the service grows.
